Can't Find User Library Mac

Jul 04, 2011 Modern Mac OS releases from Mac OS X 10.7 & OS X 10.8 onward default to hiding the users Library directory, this is probably to keep people from accidentally deleting or damaging files that are necessary for OS X Lion & Mountain Lion to function properly. That is fine for novice users, but for some of us, we want to be able to access /Library/ at will. The network library, /Network/Library would store settings shared by all computers in a network domain - if a network domain admin set one up, which nobody does anymore; The system library, /System/Library, stores the base settings, resources, etc that come with OS. Find the Users folder content. Also you may be able to use Spotlight search. Some users have the Apple face icon in the Dock, set to open their user acct. Anyway, hopefully you can find the missing folder. Like find Waldo, from years ago; hiding in your Mac. Ever since Lion (OS X 10.7), Apple has hidden your personal Library folder (/Library) by default. In Lion and Mountain Lion (OS X 10.8), you could make the folder visible, but it required some work. Yes, it is safe. That said, don't just delete all the contents of your cache folder without reason. It can be beneficial to clear out those taking up the significant space in your /Library/Caches/ if you need to free some up, but you really shouldn't clear any contents of your /System/Caches unless there is a problem. As would be expected, you will find that the programs you access most often.
You can install Audio Units plug-ins from manufacturers other than Apple to process audio in Logic Pro X, GarageBand, and Final Cut Pro. When installed, Audio Units plug-ins appear as individual components in the Library folders on your Mac:
- In the Finder choose Go > Go to Folder, enter '/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components' into the Go to Folder field, then click Go.
- You can also check the Library in your Home folder. In the Finder choose Go > Go to Folder, enter '~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components' into the Go to Folder field, then click Go.

Built-in effects and instruments included with Apple apps like Logic Pro X, GarageBand, MainStage, and Final Cut Pro X don't appear in the Library folders and can't be removed manually.
